Valencia from the water: the Albufera and Sant Josep Caves
Leave the city by van and sail the Albufera lagoon at sunset, or glide by boat along the underground river of the Sant Josep Caves.
You’re going to love Valencia
Valencia is Spain’s third-largest city and one of its most livable: a sunny, flat, bike-friendly city where the old town of narrow streets and markets sits next to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, with a long urban beach a few minutes away. It is also the birthplace of paella, and the capital of a huge orange-growing region.
Just south of the city, the Albufeira lagoon and its rice fields are one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Mediterranean coast, and the best place to see the sunset on a boat. North of the city, the San José caves offer a boat trip on an underground river. Both are easy to reach and perfect for a day outside the city.
