Costa Rica by boat: hidden bays and Pacific sunsets
Shared catamarans and private morning and sunset charters. Pick your trip, book online and check the details.
You’re going to love Costa Rica
Costa Rica’s Guanacaste coast is where the Pacific is at its most welcoming: wide beaches, rocky headlands, hidden bays and some of the sunniest weather in the country. Playa Flamingo and its marina sit in the middle of it, with calm water and a relaxed “pura vida” way of life.
The coast is at its best from a boat. A catamaran takes you past beaches and coves that are hard to reach by land, to a quiet bay for snorkelling, kayaking or paddleboarding, and back at sunset with the sky turning orange over the Pacific.

Guanacaste is warm all year. The dry season runs from December to April, and the green season from May to November, with showers that usually come in the afternoon.
High season
December to April
Dry and sunny, with hot days and clear skies, a calm sea and the best weather for the beach and for sailing.
€€€The highest hotel rates of the year, especially around Christmas and Easter; book early.
Shoulder season
May to July and November
Warm and green, with short showers often in the afternoon and plenty of sunshine in the mornings.
€€Lower prices than in the dry season, with good offers.
Low season
August to October
The rainiest months, with frequent showers. Mornings are often clear, so many trips run in the morning.
€The lowest prices of the year.
Our pick: December to April for the driest weather and the best sunsets. The green season is quieter and cheaper, and mornings tend to be clear.
