Morro Jable: dolphins, snorkelling and pirate adventures in southern Fuerteventura
Set sail from Morro Jable harbour, at the gateway to the Jandía Natural Park, and enjoy the Canary sea by speedboat, pirate schooner or catamaran with an underwater viewing area.
You’re going to love Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is the island of beaches: golden dunes, endless white sand and turquoise water, with a volcanic desert landscape behind. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it has the longest coastline in the Canary Islands, steady trade winds and sunshine almost every day of the year.
Morro Jable, in the far south of the Jandía peninsula, is the perfect base for the sea: a fishing port with a long beach, the lighthouse on one side and the wild south coast on the other. Seen from a boat, the cliffs, coves and dolphins of this corner of the island are unforgettable.

- Climb to the Morro Jable lighthouseThe Faro de Jandía, at the tip of the peninsula, is one of the best places to watch the sun set over the Atlantic.
- Explore BetancuriaThe island’s former capital, a small, whitewashed village in the mountains, with a historic church and a very relaxed pace.

When to go to Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is a year-round destination, with a very stable climate: mild winters and warm, dry summers softened by the trade winds. The Atlantic keeps the sea cooler (18–24 °C) than in the Mediterranean.
High season
December to March
The sunny winter escape: around 20–23 °C by day, little rain and the best months for hiking and walking. The sea is cool, 18–19 °C.
€€€Hotel rates are at their highest, especially at Christmas and in February; book well ahead.
Shoulder season
April to June and October to November
Warm, sunny and bright, 22–27 °C, with good sea temperatures building up. The best balance for beaches and boat trips.
€€Lower prices than in winter and fewer crowds.
Summer
July to September
The warmest and driest months, 25–30 °C, with the highest sea temperature (22–24 °C). Strong winds in the afternoon are common and attract windsurfers.
€€Mid-range prices, with a peak in August when Spanish tourists arrive.
Our pick: April to June and October for warm weather, comfortable water and fair prices. Strong winds can affect some days, so keep flexible dates for boat trips.
