Barcelona from the sea: sailboat, sunset and skyline
Set sail from Port Olímpic and see the Sagrada Familia and Montjuïc from the water, drink in hand, in the golden light of sunset.
You’re going to love Barcelona
Barcelona is a city that lives between the mountains and the sea: Gaudí’s architecture, the Gothic Quarter, markets, tapas and a long urban coastline with beaches, all within a few metro stops. It is one of the few big European cities where you can go from a museum to the sand in minutes.
And the view of Barcelona from the water is the one most visitors miss: the skyline, the cable car over the port, Montjuïc and the Sagrada Família rising behind the rooftops, with the sun setting over the city. Setting sail from Port Olímpic puts you in the middle of that postcard in a few minutes.

When to go to Barcelona
Barcelona is a year-round city break, with mild winters and hot summers. For the beach and the sea, the best months are from late May to early October.
High season
June to August
Hot and sunny, 26–31 °C, with the warmest sea (about 24–26 °C). Long evenings, many events and a lot of visitors.
€€€Hotel rates are at their highest, especially in July and August, and the city is at its busiest.
Shoulder season
April to May and September to October
Pleasant 18–26 °C, with sunny days and good light for sightseeing. September has a warm sea and fewer crowds.
€€Prices fall compared with summer, although they rise during big events and fairs.
Low season
November to March
Cool, 8–15 °C by day, with some rain, but many sunny days. Ideal for museums and food, and the city is quieter.
€The cheapest months, apart from Christmas and the Mobile World Congress in late February.
Our pick: May, June and September for warm weather without the peak of summer. For sailing at sunset, July and August are unbeatable, but book early.
