Getting here and where to park

Getting to Marina de Sotogrande is easy by car, taxi or public transport. Here is everything you need before you leave.

  • By car

    Enter “Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande” (Av. de la Marina, 11310 Sotogrande) in your satnav. From Gibraltar airport it is about 20 minutes; from Málaga about an hour via the AP-7; from Jerez about 90 minutes.

  • Parking

    Parking at the marina is free for our guests arriving by car.

  • Taxi and bus

    The nearest bus stops are a little over 1 km from the marina (see them on the map). Without a car, a taxi to the Real Club Marítimo is the easiest way.

Step by step to the boat

  1. 1Arrive at Marina de Sotogrande and find the Real Club Marítimo on Avenida de la Marina.
  2. 2Park at the marina (free for guests) or ask your taxi to drop you at the Real Club Marítimo.
  3. 3Walk to pier 78, right next to the club.
  4. 4Look for the blue-hulled sailboat with the name “Assol” in red letters.
  5. 5Say hello to the crew, stow your things on board and enjoy.

⏱ When to arrive

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.

Good to know

  • If you are prone to seasickness, take Biodramina (or similar) at least an hour before.
  • If the weather is poor the trip may be rescheduled for safety; the crew will let you know in the days before and on the day.
  • The boat is not adapted for wheelchairs. If you have reduced mobility or any doubt, ask us before booking.
  • Pets are welcome after checking with us.

What to bring

  • White-soled shoes, or go barefoot on board: it protects the deck.
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses.
  • A warm layer, especially from October to March and at sunset.
  • Swimsuit and towel if you fancy a dip (towels are not provided).
  • ID or passport: required on the sunset and full-moon sails.
  • Your camera or phone to keep the moment.
